This is not just day care...

...this is a St Clare’s Nursery education with Forest School, Spanish, French, music, PE and optional ballet.

We welcome children from the age of 2 ½ years into our bright and spacious Nursery setting which is the first entry point into our Preparatory School.

From your child’s first moment at our Nursery and Pre-School, they become part of the St Clare’s family, with access to eleven acres of magnificent grounds and all the facilities and resources available at an independent school.

Our Early Years Vision Statement.

To provide a safe, caring, happy and stimulating environment for children to enjoy play and learning experiences.

To enable children to:

  • Develop their capabilities as ambitious competent learners

  • Become creative contributors and responsible citizens in society

  • Grow into independent, healthy, confident individuals

We aim to support all our children by creating an environment that has a good balance of quality teaching and education, as well as opportunities for play based experiences, where the children choose and lead their learning.

"We couldn’t be prouder of our wonderful team who work so hard each and every day to provide each pupil with a rich and stimulating learning experience. It means a tremendous amount to be recommended by our families and we truly appreciate this recognition."

Room to grow.

Few Nurseries in south Wales could compete with the exceptional facilities that are available to our pupils. Set in 11 acres of magnificent beautifully landscaped grounds, St Clare’s School Nursery is the perfect environment for learning and personal growth.

Each classroom has an interactive smartboard and the children have access to iPads.

Benefitting from well-equipped, bright and comfortable rooms, plus a dedicated outdoor learning and play area, children can access the facilities they need to develop their academic, physical, social and creative skills.

A large, secure astroturfed outdoor play area provides play facilities with slides, balance bikes, scooters and climbing frames to help the development of gross motor skills.

Our stunning woodland space is used for Forest School and as an outdoor classroom, providing the perfect place in which to develop a true appreciation for the natural world.

We offer full-time or part-time places.

Children can attend a combination of morning sessions and full days (minimum of 3 mornings to start in our Little Ladybirds class, subject to availability):

• Early drop off available from 8:00am

• Morning sessions including lunch (9:00am-12:30pm)

• Full Time sessions (9:00am-3:00pm)

• After School Care from 3:30-5:30pm at no extra charge

Flexible options for parents.

St Clare’s Nursery is surprisingly competitively priced from as little as £46.56 per day (or £35.42 with the Bridgend Early Years Grant funding applied). A healthy home-cooked hot lunch and After School Club from 3:30 – 5:30pm are included in the fees.

As parents you will rightly consider the cost of sending your child to private school nursery. Here at St Clare’s School, we understand that parents want flexibility in the way they pay their fees. There are different options available to parents, from paying termly in advance by direct debit or if you would like even greater flexibility, monthly through the School Fee Plan.

Fees are charged per school term and there are 3 terms per year. Children living within Bridgend County Borough are eligible for the Bridgend Early Years Grant Funding of £650 per term from the term following their third birthday, provided they are in Nursery for a minimum of 3 mornings per week.

For more information about our wonderful nursery please contact Holly Fowlkes, our Admissions Registrar.
