Ranked in the top 5% of top performing A-Level schools in UK since 2018.
St Clare’s Sixth Form provides an unrivalled educational experience for students of 16-18 years of age.
Combining academic excellence with outstanding pastoral care and a wide-ranging extra-curricular programme, we give students the opportunity to reach their full potential - both academically and personally.
Our Sixth Form team offers guidance on A-Level choices, degree programmes and university selection, while experienced mentors with in-depth knowledge of higher education advise on careers, UCAS applications and university interview techniques (including Oxbridge), supporting each individual student.
As part of a small Sixth Form community, students will take greater responsibility for their learning but will find one-to-one support readily available, helping them to achieve the very best results possible.
VISION AND VALUES
Our strong curriculum, steadfast pastoral care and enriching extra-curricular programme enable us to provide pupils with the freedom and support to flourish independently.
Our approach is to teach each and every child in the most effective way for them; we call this individualised learning. At the heart of this approach is our ability to understand precisely where your child is on their learning journey.
In choosing St Clare’s as a school for your son or daughter you are ensuring that they are educated in a nurturing environment and will realise their full potential.
FACILITIES & LOCATION
We have created a university-style environment where students will learn to work independently while being supported and guided on an individual basis by our excellent Sixth Form team.
Students have access to a dedicated Sixth Form hub, resource centre and their own kitchen which they will take ownership of on a day-to-day basis.
Studying and socialising takes place in the vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere of our Sixth Form centre, the hub of our Sixth Form community. Students are also allocated a HP ProBook X360 solely for their use.
Sixth Form students enjoy their own dedicated parking area.
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMME
Whether travelling overseas on one of our international residentials or taking part in a enriched curriculum activity, we encourage adventure. There is plenty of adventure and opportunity to learn new skills and develop confidence at school as well.
Our first-class self-development programme, abundance of extra-curricular activities, academic and non-academic societies, socials and networking opportunities with our Cognita Sixth Forms in Northampton and London, and support for student wellbeing, makes our Sixth Form best placed to ensure a successful future.
We have extensive industry links for work experience and placements as well as professional support and guidance in preparation for university. This includes our Sixth Form team who support future career pathways and offer specialist programmes for those applying to Oxbridge.
We also offer a range of clubs including ethics, investment banking, STEM, football, netball, rugby, cross country and many more. Duke of Edinburgh Awards add to the richness of the offer.
