Topics are brought to life through inspirational teaching and an extensive extra-curricular programme. Whether it is an enrichment day, a visit or a workshop, physical experiences help to fire the imagination and add an extra dimension to classroom-based learning.

Our success is boosted by a robust process for tracking and monitoring pupil attainment throughout the academic year. Every child will sit a baseline assessment at the beginning of the key stage. Every child is then set an aspirational grade and a challenge grade and this will be reported to you as parents. We will ensure that each child is challenged in order to try and achieve their aspirational grade, plus simple measures such as maintaining an open dialogue with parents so that we can address any areas where children need more support.
For pupils who are excelling in specific subjects, we are ready to challenge them and provide the support they need to take the next steps in their endeavours.

MOVING TO SENIOR
Transition to Year 7 needs to be as smooth and comfortable as possible for all pupils, internal and external.
We deliver three Senior Discovery Days each academic year for Year 6 and Year 5. They are a brilliant opportunity for those pupils to spend a day in the Senior School and a chance to spend time getting to know the new environment and making new friends.
Although our pupils are taught by specialist staff for some subjects, it also allows other Senior staff to build a rapport with the children in anticipation of their arrival at the Senior School, which is a fantastic way to ensure continuity of academic excellence across the year groups.
