Inspiring Futures

At St Clare’s School, we endeavour to educate the whole individual.

We want to ensure that when you leave us you are ready for the selection process for your first job, university or apprenticeship interview, and have the confidence, resilience and strength of character required for your next adventure beyond school.

Our aim is to send young people out into the world as responsible, balanced young citizens.

ENRICHMENT

Helping you achieve your true potential.

From regular House competitions to the Enrichment Programme, Sixth Form students have plenty of opportunity to develop beyond the academic and are encouraged to pursue leadership roles (Head Boy, Head Girl and Prefect) as well as extra-curricular interests.

Further opportunities to debate, partake in drama and music events, join sports teams and support the local community, all grow young people's confidence, skillsets and personal achievement. Our aim is to make every one of our students stand out in their university and job applications.

Your timetable at Sixth Form will be populated with lectures, enrichment sessions, future-ready and self-development programmes, and individual research and study time.

UNIVERSITY PREPARATION

Stand Out UCAS Applications

We have a well-established system to equip you for university via the UCAS process.

Our Sixth Form Team have received very positive feedback on their quality of references for our student university applications.

We pride ourselves on our ability to tailor-make references that suit you as an individual for your chosen pathway.

Expertise in University Preparation

Our highly qualified Sixth Form team are able to guide students throughout the university application process (UCAS), and provide additional mentoring for Oxbridge and Russell Group candidates.

Mock interviews give students the opportunity to practise their communication skills, testing their subject-specific understanding and personal statements.

In subject-specific interviews, students complete a range of tasks designed to test their suitability for higher education, whilst personal statement interviews test students’ passion for their subject and knowledge beyond the A-Level syllabus. Sixth Formers then discuss how the interview went and receive helpful feedback and advice on the next steps to take.

CAREERS ADVICE

Bespoke apprenticeship and career guidance.

We cater for advice on apprenticeships and careers as part of our Enrichment Programme.

Our staff have a long-standing history of providing references for alumni moving into the world of work.

We provide ourselves on our ability to tailor references that will suit you as an individual on your chosen pathway.
