Senior School Rules
Attendance
- Be punctual for registration and lessons
- Bring a letter or medical appointment card to explain absence even if a parent/guardian has telephoned the school
- Leave school only with permission
- Report to the Secretary in the Admin Block if late for registration
Behaviour
- Be courteous and respectful towards visitors, staff and students
Appearance
- Wear the regulation school uniform neatly including when travelling between home and school
- School blazers and shoes (not trainers) must be worn to and from school
- Do not wear make-up
- The only permitted jewellery: watch, hidden necklace, plain flat signet ring, one pair of plain ear studs (in ear lobe)
- Hair must be a natural colour
Work
- Work must be complete and presented on time
- All homework must be recorded in homework diary
- Fountain pens must be used - black or blue ink only
- Tipex or similar is not allowed
School
- Keep classroom and school grounds tidy
- Empty bins in classroom at lunch time and at end of day
- Put chairs on desks and ensure windows are closed at end of school day
- Use of laboratories and all other equipment is allowed only under supervision
- Cars are not permitted to use the drive when delivering or collecting students between 8.15- 9.00am and 3.30-4.00pm
- Personal possessions are brought into school at the owner's own risk
- Mobile phones must be on silent mode and only used in emergencies
- MP3 Players and iPods are not to be brought into school
- Chewing gum is not permitted in school
