St Clare’s Pupils put the Army through their paces
10 June 2010Year 10 pupils from St Clare’s School in Porthcawl joined over 4000 pupils from 55 schools and colleges across Wales to participate in an Army Careers Exhibition in Margam Park.
Pupils from the school had the chance to participate in obstacle course challenges, sports and army activities including cooking in a field kitchen, camouflage make up and racing wearing full army kit.
Head of St Clare’s Catherine Barnard commented, “Our pupils always enjoy participating in this excellent event. It is great for team skills and confidence building and gives pupils a real taste of what life can be like in the army”.
