This part of the website outlines the nature of the education offered in St Clare's Senior School. It explains the curriculum available, the way your children are cared for and some of the activities they can enjoy.

Life as a pupil at St. Clare’s is both challenging and exciting. We are a nonselective school with an impressive academic record, as our results show.

We actively encourage every individual to achieve his or her maximum potential in all areas. Each pupil is unique and our primary aim is to develop the whole person. This is achieved by offering a broad academic and extra-curricular education based on sound moral values in a happy and caring environment.

St. Clare’s has a high respect for discipline, high academic expectations and a well-qualified and dedicated staff. We are proud of our extra-curricular success. Our sports teams have gained a number of Area, County and Welsh school caps. Our Science teams compete throughout South Wales and annual competitions include the Sony Small Business Challenge, Ford Engineering Challenge and the Smallpeice Technology Awards.

We have a wonderful record of success in the Young Enterprise competition and teams from St. Clare’s have won the Rotary Youth Speaks and Crime Prevention contests; whilst musically we are represented in the County Youth Orchestra and have sent pupils to the National Youth Theatre.
